Programme Title: Basic Education
Project Title: Project V Nigeria [PVN]
[PVN] is a five year programme launched 30th of October 2017 in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State south- west Nigeria tailored to:

• Enhance Early Childhood Care Development Education Services [E.C.C.D.E]
  JUSTIFICATION: [E.C.C.D.E] it’s an integral part of the Basic Education programme and it represents the first and essential step in achieving school readiness for children entering primary schools and also in addressing the out of school children phenomenon. The quality of stimulation and learning that pre-primary teachers and caregivers are able to provide to children is very important to their cognitive development and school readiness.
• Enhance girl child education and elimination of gender disperative in schools
  JUSTIFICATION: Gender sensitivity is a key aspect of the quality of education. Educational systems should be sensitive to the specific needs of girls. Because of the increasing open global economy, Economies’ export orientation and the growing importance of small and medium-sized enterprises create opportunities for females, but they need the appropriate education and training to take full advantage of these opportunities to enhance the country’s economic and social development by enhancing human capital and alleviating poverty. .
• Engage more individuals and private sectors both at national and global levels to build strategic partnerships
  JUSTIFICATION: To maximize the efficiency of the government work, and allow us and our partners to benefits from numerous different perspectives and area of expertise for easy actualization of the UN-SDG Goal 4 in Nigeria. .
• Address the factors contributing to children dropping out from school
  JUSTIFICATION: The problem of children not completing the basic educational cycle will not only limit the future opportunities available to the children but as well pose a significant drain on the limited resources the country has. Because education is a key part of strategies to improve individuals’ well-being, societies’ economic and social development.

Reducing the 12 million out-of-school children in Nigeria by 25% before or by 2021- Recently brought to light by UNESCO Institute of Statistics and the immediate past Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova that 50% of the world population of out of school children are in Nigeria.

JUSTIFICATION: According to Princess Asmau Ndayaku Idris”, the wife of the Nigeria Inspector General Police and the President of Police Officers Wives Association, Nigeria. In a statement about the importance of the project made available to the Nigeria Guardian Newspapers “If we don’t pay attention to this population now, they may become hoodlums with problems associated with crime, which pose a significant threat to the security of the nation. Adding that all hands must be on deck because if we don’t assist the stakeholders to address this menace now, it’s like sitting on a keg of gunpowder She said

Our strategic entering point intervention;

• assisting 500 families with children out from school and prevent future occurrence by enhancing the economy capacity through short-term transferable life-skills developmental programs to breaking the poverty cycle among the beneficiaries because Poverty has unanimously been declared as the number one factor contributing to the significant proportion of children not completing the basic education cycle in Nigeria.
• 200 families with children at the risk of dropping out from school through a preventive Comprehensive Health programmes and to providing a platform (Health Corners) for a healthy lifestyle because Health challenges such as (HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, bad healthy life style and their resultant effects among others are among other consequential factors for school dropouts.
• Finally acquired a building in Gwagwalada the western axis of the Nation’s Capital Abuja to establish a PVN MODEL CENTRE [PMC] to provide inclusive education in the community.

TWO MEANS OF IMPLEMENTATION:

• • Effective Advocacy and Publicity: Through mobilization and broad participation with Community Leaders in various communities and reputable media organizations in the Country.
  • Partnership: To build a strategic cooperation with civil society organization who shares our priority and expert in line with the Paris declaration of AID effectiveness for easy attainment of “PVN” goals in Nigeria

EXPECTED RESULTS AND SOCIETAL BENEFITS

• • To this end during and after commencement of the programme, a significant number of Out-of-School Children would be back in school, simultaneously reducing child labour and human tracking in the country, as well as the creation of job opportunities at various levels.
  • PVN will strategically enhance the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (OSSAP-SDGs) and other relevant stakeholders in actualizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 and technically contribute towards the actualization of SDGs goals 1, 2, 3 and 5 in Nigeria.

BOOK BANK CAMPAIGN (BBC) – an initiative designed to advocate for voluntary donors across various fields of studies globally, seeking to give out books that is not relevant to them anymore so they can be made available to target audiences (Indigent) who will be needing them for their capacity building  development either in  academics or hands on training.

GCI is designed to enhance the implementation of Early Childhood Care Development Education (E.C.C.D.E) services in Nigeria for the benefit of Nigerian Child because it’s an integral part of the basic education programme and it represent the first and essential step important to their cognitive development in achieving school readiness for children entering primary schools and also address the out of school children phenomenon.

This is an initiative designed to create relevant support and information to help enhance the academic /career prospect of Taipans across all levels with first hand information  across the globe.

Entertainment to Education – this is to synergize the two sectors through CSR for the easy actualization of United Nations goal 4 with  UN Goal 17 guidelines. teach out for more details on E2E

TAP EAGLE NEST (TEN) – a strategic initiative of the UNESCO REF on the TAP Project SDGs mission with relevant financial institutions, private sectors and individuals to create a robust financial resources,  assistances and alternative financial solutions / guidances to all qualified TAP Graduates (TAPians) to enhancing the micro, small and medium enterprise for a sustainable economic growth and building a broader base economy  needed for decent job creation.

TAP YOUTH FORUM (TYP) – The TAP youth forum is a platform where youths from different age ranges come together to share ideas for the purpose of inclusiveness in government and political activities. This platform is designed to enhance youth impact through harnessing ideas and implementation of set goals to achieve the purpose mentioned above. The platform will bring youths together on a yearly basis to discuss ideas and implementation strategies to achieve this purpose.

AGRO CHILDREN PROGRAMME (ACP) – The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. The goal is to achieve food security for all and make sure that people have regular access to enough high-quality food to live active and healthy lives.  In an effort to contribute to the grandeur of the organization, the UNESCO REF found it paramount to create an initiative and platform that would inspire younger generations interest to embrace agriculture through our AGRO CHILDREN CAMPAIGN PROGRAMME (ACP) in partnership with our schools network in the society.
