On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the Christian Couples’ Fellowship (CCF) held its quarterly breakfast prayer meeting in the home of Ruth and Ariyo Ayeni in Ungwan Rimi, Kaduna.
The prayer meeting was anchored on Psalm 9:10, which states that: “Everyone who honors your name can trust you, because you are faithful to all who depend on you” (Contemporary English Version).
Here, Pastor Moses Ohabuike of the Chapel of Goodnews, Kaduna, who was the invited speaker that day, prayed for couples believing in God for the fruit of the womb. We came forward, heartily, to be prayed for alongside a few other couples. Our faith in God was strengthened and we believed Him completely.
Barely six months later one of the couples (Ruth and Ezekiel Barnabas) who were prayed for conceived. Ruth gave birth to a beautiful girl in May 2022. In January 2023, barely six months after this couple in CCF were blessed with a beautiful girl, I started feeling funny in my system and we didn’t know what to make of it. We went for a scan and lo and behold I was declared pregnant, and six months gone already.
On the 10th of April 2023, the word of the Lord was manifested in our lives after five years of marriage. We became parents to a bouncing baby boy we named Samuel. He gracefully came forth just as God promised us. God is in this place… Hallelujah!
